JUICY SAUSAGE AND BEEF BURGER
          
Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Swaggerty’s Farm Sausage Hot or Mild
  • 1 pound ground sirloin
  • Salt and pepper
  • Blue cheese or American cheese
  • Lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, pickles, and any other favorite toppings
  • 4 large burger buns

Directions:

  • Preheat the Egg to 400°.  Set to direct cooking.
  • In a large bowl, combine salt and pepper and the ground meats. Mix until combined; do not over mix.
  • Form the meat into 4 patties.
  • Place patties on the Big Green Egg and cook 7-10 minutes on the first side. Do not mess with the patties. After 7-10 minutes, flip and cook another 5-7 minutes.
  • Toast buns on the grill.
  • Add the blue cheese or American cheese plus all your favorite toppings.
